can i bring an electric rc car on plane?

wondering if airlines will allow electric rc car on my carry on bag?
by the way it's a traxxas rustler

It varies on the size of the RC car. If it is one of those big ones, they wont let you, and youll have to check it in. I had to check in my 1:12 RC car. It was considered a flight risk. The toy ones that are small that you buy at Walgreens or Toys R Us are ok. You could even put the batteries in the car if you want and drive it around as you wait to board. How do I know? I carried all my RC stuff and traveled and got told to ship most of it as luggage.

I would think yes - but not sure.
You might want to keep batteries in case security wants you to prove it functions as a car.

But then remove batteries before the flight so that it would be able to put out any wireless signals.

yes you can , if you can start it at the airport and show them its not a bomb then its totally fine…i mean if it was gas then probably not
