How to fly a gas powered model airplane? (See details below)?
I got a Hobbico N226LK from a friend and I don't know how to fly it. I don't know if I have everything. I don't know how to start the engine. If anyone has one of these planes, please let me know how to do it.
If you have a chance, you can drop me a line.
Thanks in advance.

Many options here:
The best one is to find a "flying club" in your area. Usually there are mentors to help newbies like you. Some do charge a nominal fee for "training hours" but it is worth it. It is very easy to crash on your first flight and destroy the plane (yes I have had experience with this approach).
There are resources on the web such as newbie corners at:
www.rcuniverse.com
www.towerhobbies.com
When I used to fly models as a kid tower was my best source and they still seem to be committed to the sport.
Fly the simulator first!
There are free versions that you hook to your existing remote (this is what I use) and commercial versions like from Great Planes which is supposed to be really good.
And be careful. On all of the websites you can see horror stories of people getting injured and yes killed by these "toys".
I got back into models with my son a few years ago and switch to Foam/electric models. more fun and less work! Might be something to think about.

Go to your local hobby store and get the correct information/instruction on flying a plane. It's not as easy as it looks.

Gather everything go the local hobby store or better yet to the local r/c flying club they'll help you with everything. In the meantime don't try to start the engine, play with its fuel, batteries etc. it could be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing. Definitely don't try to fly it, you may hurt somebody else besides yourself.
References :
It is simple. Mix the kerosene and petrol in equal ratio if you don't get the proper fuel.Fill the fuel tank. Then keep every thing in properly closed position.Hold it in you hand .Ask somebody to rotate the blade .It will start running. When it attain the maximum speed leave it from your hand in proper position. The aircraft will fly.But after the fuel is exhausted it will fall to the ground.

You need a trainer aircraft, like the hangar 9 aplha form horizonhobby.com or local hobby shop. Then find a field in your area, look up "AMA", Academy Model Aeronautics and get a memberhsip, this cover insurance to fly at sanctioned fields. YOur local fields have instructors who will teach you with a 'buddy box" which is a wire attached to your transmitter. The instruction is free of chrage, DO NOT PAY FOR IT! THe budyd box is great because if you get into trouble, your instructor flips a switch and takes over the aircraft.
