I just recently bought a nitro buggy rc. It brought a vx-18 engine. were could i find parts for these engines. also what can you do to loosen the piston sleeve.

For the sleeve, sometimes you can just turn the crankshaft a few items and it will move out slightly. Then you can just pull it out. If the lip of the sleeve is not sunk into the block. You can often get a small flathead screwdriver under it, and move the sleeve out. If the lip is sunk into the block, and it wont move out by turning the crankshaft, you will need to put a ziptie in the exhaust port, and turn the crankshaft. It will be pushed out slightly after this. Remove the ziptie and see if you can pull it out by hand.

i need to know if Aluminum absorbs radio waves (just the type that control an RC jet)

Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity. If an object is completely encased in a conductor (forming a Faraday cage), the object will be shielded from radio waves.

If the aluminum (or another conductor) covers only part of the object, radio waves may still reach it.

I just bought a new RC buggy and for some reason it won't run forward but it will run backwards. It steers great and the batteries are brand new please help me figure out what could be going wrong.

i don't know why this is the case, but if you aren't afraid to take it apart you can sort it out easily; just find the motor, and turn it upside down!!!

probably not. dolls are way cooler than human beings, when it comes to a crisis. however, what you are planning is totally irresponsible!

It depends on the engine. If it's a "glow plug" engine, as most were in the 1970's, you need to use glow fuel, a mixture of methanol, nitromethane, and oil… you purchase it at a hobby shop. If it's a spark ignition engine, then you use a gasoline/oil mixture like a chain saw or weed eater. Your best bet is to contact a local R/C club or hobby shop and ask them what to use.

I am 14, im not looking to go intense with the car are go racing at tracks. Just looking for something to do. I want a car, like a buggy car, with big wheels, that i can just drive around. I am looking to buy a car that is under eighty dollars. I will just be driving it on the street. Thanks!
