RC Nitro Setup Guide Part 1
This vid is on how to setup a brand new RC kit for beginners. It goes over how to conduct radio check with the receiver rx, how to test the throttle servo, ensure that the kit brakes, test the carb gap, set the idle screw, adjust the radio trims and reverse channels, failsafes, testing the failsafe, testing the glow plug, determining stock needle location, tightening the wheels, and much more!

This is a ten video rc nitro break in series. The series is designed on how to guide the novice to experienced racing pro or basher on how to break in a nitro rc properly. I will teach the traxxas, new school, and my own method which is a combination of the other two. I will show the user how to prime a nitro rc engine, start the engine using a bump start box, ex starter, roto start, pull start and tiger drive devices. Then, after break in, I will go over nitro engine tuning theory and then show the tuning actally done. You can use the 1.2V off of the ez starter plug or buy a normal one. Personally, Id cut the blue wire and use an external one. Just my .02

Squirrel! I finally came up with a good question… I live at a high altitude, so I have to run the engine leaner than you would in most places, so how would you recommend I break in a new engine? Will I just have to wait until I visit family at a lower altitude?

Anytime you change …
Anytime you change anything it effects your gearing. When you increase tire size then you decrease gearing.
If you are burning up like that then you are way over geared.

hey squirrel. im running a evader st, with 3000mah battery, futaba esc and 12t motor. (the esc can handle the motor) when i go for a run those 3 components get HOT, so hot infact it melts the solder on my moter. am i over geared or under geared or whats the go?? Also im running buggy wheels as in 1:8 buggy.
