What kind of gas do i use in my 2 stroke rc airplane engine? can i use regular?
I have an older maybe 70's model of a 2 stroke engine for a model airplane. I hooked up the gas tank but i need to know what type of gas to use thanx
It depends on the engine. If it's a "glow plug" engine, as most were in the 1970's, you need to use glow fuel, a mixture of methanol, nitromethane, and oil… you purchase it at a hobby shop. If it's a spark ignition engine, then you use a gasoline/oil mixture like a chain saw or weed eater. Your best bet is to contact a local R/C club or hobby shop and ask them what to use.

2 Stroke engines require oil to be mixed with the gas. The gas is the same but in 2 stoke engines you add oil at the proper mix.
Here is a good article for you .
