For a school project i want to build an rc airplane from scratch. Ive never built an airplane but i do have some experience flying simple planes. Is it possible to build a simple airplane using pieces of a remote control car? rc cars have one engine for running the wheels and another for turning the car. can i use the cars transmitter to control and run my plane? I have an rc plane engine that i can use because its stronger. Is this possible and if so what can i use to build it.

I know that your plane will only have 2 channels(rudder and thrust). Try making it out of plywood or foam.

some tips
-when you fly, trim the elevators upward so when you apply power, the plane will ascend. And make sure the plane descends when power off.
-And you can use the same transmitter, but I don't know how to increase the signal strength. You might need a longer antennae, both on the plane and transmitter
